Photochromatic Lenses (most notably, "Transitions") will darken outdoors depending on the amount of sunlight exposure, and will lighten indoors away from sunlight.

Anti-Reflective Coatings reduce glare and "ghost" images from computer screens, oncoming headlights at night, and overhead lighting.

Ultraviolet Coating can filter out harmful UV rays from sunlight and can be applied to most all lenses. Some researchers think UV rays may be partly responsible for cataract development.

Polycarbonate material is one of the most impact resistant materials available.  It also is thinner and lighter weight than standard plastic lenses.  Polycarbonate also includes UV protection and is highly recommend for children, monocular patients, and all who require sports and safety glasses.

Polarized Lenses are used in sunglasses to reduce glare from reflective surfaces such as the surface water of a lake or the hood of a car.

High Index lenses are thinner and lighter than plastic or even polycarbonate.  There are many options within the category of high index lenses depending on the strength and thickness of the prescription.

Tints change the color of the lens based on a patient's needs.

Edge Treatments help to hide the edge thickness of a lens as well as improve the cosmetic appearance of the lenses in the frame.
